Friends who are family.

Woodland Tribe 'Chiefs'

Woodland Tribe 'Chiefs'

Woodland Tribe 'Chiefs'

Little Woodland Tribe has been founded by two mums Steph and Amy with over 30+ years of experience in early years between them and their love for the great outdoors (and many machine washes of muddy clothes later) came to realize that as their own little tribe have grown up, there is a missing link between todays children and the great outdoors.

It was founded to provide all children (including their own) with endless adventures, freedom, challenges and to enhance their mental health as part of their everyday lives, a place away from social expectations, a place where we can be whoever we want to be.

As parents ourselves we understand that choosing an early education setting for your child can be a confusing time.

Finding a setting that meets your child's needs can be an emotional time, as a parent you want to know that whatever setting your child attends will care for them and nurture them as well as you do.

Little Woodland Tribe provides children with the opportunity to explore and learn to love the great outdoors, just as we did when we were children.

Tribal relationships

At Little Woodland Tribe we value every parent, child and family that attends our setting and it is our aim to ensure you are comfortable and confident in the choice you have made. We recognize the importance of a positive relationship with parents and families on the holistic wellbeing of the child. These relationships allow us to get a rounded view of your child and allow us to nurture your child in a manner most appropriate for them.

Tribal relationships

It is our aim to build mutually respectful relationships that celebrate each member of the tribe and their lives and experiences, through these relationships we support children in making meaning and connections to their world.

The relationships we build extend beyond those with other people and include the relationships we cultivate with our natural world.

Tribe Leaders

At Little Woodland Tribe we ensure that there is one tribe leader to every four members, meaning our adult: child ratio is higher than in most traditional early year settings. In doing this we truly get to know each and every child on an individual basis, learning what makes them unique and what makes them thrive.

Little Woodland Tribe will run from Clare Castle Country Park during school term times.

Children will have access to all areas of the Clare Castle park and will have vast opportunities to engage both with the natural environment and our local community.

We have our own secret log cabin  situated in the woodland, where we can retreat should the children require it.
